Free Education in Kikinda

Every year we open a call for a generation to learn about technology, communication, and ethics and get the knowledge that will make them the true leaders of the digital generation.

How to become a pioneer? The application process is very simple. We accept new candidates every spring and fall.

We organise 2 round of training kids by year :

  • April to September
  • October to March

The call for the next (sixth) generation will be open in the fall of 2022. Until then, you can contact us and get in touch with us

Hosting an international student

We would love to integrate into our course for local youth at least one international young [erson in residency with us !

We are currently discussing with Vulca to see how that could be possible and will let you know more soon how we can host in Kikinda a student that brings a new culture, ideas and language, and we provide course in return.

For the pioneers of the new age

Pioneer is a free school focused on creating a new generation of digital leaders, an exponential culture of solving challenges using technology.

It’s a project that grows up through zamphyr foundation. Pioneer is a pilot free school project.

A foundation that tries to define what is free education. The main goal is to try transforming education by a grassroots approach.

State is running public schools and education with a “corporate” approach, focusing on needs they have, and not with a free path letting the student learn in the path they are interested in and want to go.

The group of organisers and lecturers that realise Pionir is composed of prominent minds of today in technology, business, philosophy, and pedagogy.

Marko Kazic - CEO, Zamphyr

Marko Kažić is the founder of Zamphyr, a free school of technology. Pioneer of Free Education and the Education Movement 2.0. He works on exponential radical ideas and invests in extraordinary people. As an activist for free culture and free education, he advocates a fundamental paradigm shift in education and the development of a poor society.

About 20 active members come regularly to Pionir.

The Pionir community is very diverse (hackers, artists, developers) but most of us are students.

To give you an overview, we can find several students involved in many different fields, such as industrial and product design, coding, front development, full-stack engineering,…

Since we live in a countryside, most of the members come from Kikinda, but also other small villages around (20km).

Marko worked in China as a product designer front-in for several years. In 2016 he decided to come back to Serbia and start a new project here that makes more sense for his life.

Since he earned enough money to invest in Serbia he decided to buy a house + a backyard for some thousands of euros and start Pionir.

Now he is launching a research center school including makerspace, fablab, hackerspace, library to make an education space made by citizens for citizens with the support of foundation such as Github (for instance) that provide free access to their service but also a large panel of volunteers that help on-site building the space and organising visit + workshop.

Next to the financial support provided by Marko, Pionir earns some money by the up-cycling of electronic components that at least pays their charge.

Also, we have some income from the self-contribution of our community.

For now it’s enough to launch the dynamic.
