STORY

In 2018, Arnaud figured out that nothing exist in Bastia for makers and start to explore possibilities to open a makerspace.

In 2022, he will inherit a 40sqm appartment nearb by bastia, exactly what he needs to open a fablab. After some renovation the space will open in 2023.

VISION

Being as much as possible open for all kind of makers and DIY project of Bastia and the region. Being complementary to other Makerspace of the city (TOGA, OPRA, Jean Nicoli) with a strong expertise around CAO - 3D Modeling - 3D Printing.

Arnaud is initially a web developer. He worked for several years as a database administrator for the Corsican Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In 2022, he had the chance to recover a small house of 40m2 in Bastia and decided to open a shared workshop in these places.

Here you can meet and network with a wide panel of profiles ranging from the passionate DIYer to the independent entrepreneur.

The place is really welcoming to all kind of makers and you’ll always feel like home (litteraly).

For the moment the fablab is dependent on memberships from its members and donations. The fablab is also mainly supported by Arnaud who is its main patron.

In 2024, the first public funding will arrive through cooperation between 3 FabLabs in Bastia.

On the table you will find a daruma (in Japanese culture, a figurine for wishes, luck and prosperity).

The community is here! We confirm it! The economic model will arrive soon, that’s for sure! and the second eye of Daruma to be drawn
