The benches have been designed to be both ergonomics, designed and flexible. They can be installed with different configurations depending on the users’ needs, the flow of the circulation or the design of the space.

In 2016, an architecture contest was organized to make students work on the future furniture for the main hall of the school. For 2 months, with 5 friends coming from the architecture career, we designed and prototyped a flexible furniture with the idea to make it as aesthetic as practical.
- How the workshop was useful?
They support us during all the stages, from the idea to the prototype making. We used to work with software to design our projects but it was our first time in contact with machines to realize prototypes. Usually students from architecture use this space to make their model but for real size products.
- What’s the project’s greatest success so far?
We won the contest and we got money to produce many pieces for the University hall.
- What’s your greatest failure(s)& lesson(s) so far?
We learned how to produce the digital design with the constraints of the machines. The process wasn’t easy but eventually it improved our work and opened our field of possibilities.
- What’s your vision for the project & next steps?
We will install the project in the hall and use this experience for our next projects with the start-up of architectors called Colectivo Modulo ARQ(https://agrupacionmoduloar.wixsite.com/moduloarq).
