Découvrez en plus sur notre espace, nos membres, nos machines & services !
Every working day Laurent.B, the founder of Fablab Santander, opens the Fablab. The space is shared between a technological company (morning) and the FabLab Santander (Evenings 17h30 - 20h unless wednesday)
Fablab Santander community has a large panel of profiles and skills. Some of them are quite enthusiasts when it comes to learn about photonic, electronics and cryptocurrency.
They tend also to build most of the machines they need rather than buying them … which makes this Fablabs quite impressive !

“The business model is coupled with one of a photonics company runned by Laurent. The company and the FabLab share the rend cost and services of the space (company ->13h and FabLab at 17h30-20h. The FabLab incomes come from FabLab members fees, workshops/courses fees given by non members assistants and machine renting (mainly laser cutter at the moment).”
A membership system allows everyone that wants to support the cost of renting and investing in some materials. And from time to time the Fablab gets some propositions to work for the public or private sector and make some money from these services.
