Wytwórnia is an open workshop and co-working space - a place with facilities to work in a broad range of ways: from quiet computer work, pondering, designing and sketching, through team collaborations, crafting and rapid prototyping to small production or larger construction work. Our members build new furniture and restore old one, work on ceramics and screen printing, and milling. Make musical instruments like these tank drums from gas cylinders. Wytwórnia is a host and organizer of wide range of initiatives and events that promote the creativity culture. Starting from DIY workshops (carpentry, renovation, sewing, building 3D-printers), through conferences like TEDx, hackatons to Desing Thinking workshops and Sofar Sounds concerts. But above all Wytwórnia is a creative community of passionate people who share the same ideas, motivate each other, and work together on various projects. Pop in or drop us an e-mail if you would like to join us for a day, a week or even longer periods. We are open for everybody.

Our workshop

Learn more about our space, members, machines & services!

Wytwórnia was created from the need and combination of two ideas. Kajetan had been talking for months about the hacklab premise, and Maciek had just returned from Erasmus and lacked a common place where a group of friends could meet and just do SOMETHING. Since there were plenty of creative people in the group – architects, designers, manufacturers – the idea quickly took shape, as a space for creative work – a studio, a workshop and a prototype plant.

Initially, it was supposed to be a small place for friends, but it turned out that the need for such a place in Kraków goes far beyond these dozen people. Since the first “pub talks” in December 2012, that “it would be nice if …”, it took a dozen weeks until they found the premises and on March, 2013 announced the creation of Wytwórnia.

A month later, the first plaster-cardboard walls were fell in the premises at Ślusarska 9 and after less than 3 weeks of intensive renovation, carried out fully by our own forces and with the great support of friends and supporters of Wytwórnia, on May 11, 2013, the official opening took place.

Today’s Wytwórnia is a contemporary, open creative workshop (makerspace) for DIY, hobbyists, budding entrepreneurs, artists and craftsmen. Here you can find people, space and equipment that help develop your ideas into profitable businesses.

Above all Wytwórnia is a creative community of passionate people who share the same ideas, motivate each other, and work together on various projects.

Members of Wytwórnia are mainly engaged in traditional crafts like carpentry, upholstery, furniture renovation, locksmithing, screen printing, ceramics and sewing. But they are also happy to experiment with modern techniques like 3D printing and CNC milling. You will also meet here some photographers, architects, graphic and web designers.

Every single one of us has a different perspective and various experience. Each of us can contribute something to your work.
