Our workshop

Learn more about our space, members, machines & services!

Step-by-step LOL’s storyline

  • 2004: Purchase of the land by Hélène Gautier
  • 2016: Creation of the Lustar Organic Laboratory Association
  • 2017: Filing of the building permit and start of work (foundations, structural footing)
  • 2018: Creation of the SCI “Las pischarottes” with 4 founding members
  • 2018, June: Organization of participatory projects to co-construct and arrange spaces (buildings, exterior, etc.) from
  • 2019: Permaculture internship
  • 2020: Tiny house manufacturing workshops

Our vision

  • Conduct a reflection and experimentation on agricultural activities (breeding, cultivation, market gardening, beekeeping) and sustainable practices;
  • Create a dynamic by bringing together people from various backgrounds and with complementary skills that can lead to original and innovative projects;
  • Provide project leaders (association, companies, students, individuals, etc.) with the tools and knowledge necessary for prototyping and carrying out their project
  • Support project leaders throughout their project, to the extent of the knowledge available within the community;
  • Preserve, disseminate and share the knowledge and know-how acquired, through conferences, debates and broadcasts on the internet and other media
  • Reflect on the place of new technologies in our society and promote them with a humanist goal;
  • Organize interventions in educational settings in its areas of expertise;
  • Organize training workshops for its members in its areas of expertise;

It’s a very trans-disciplinary community with designers, carpenters, project managers, etc.

The place and it’s ecosystem will be:

  • Place of experimentation that will welcome people
  • Provision of a living space, sharing
  • Place of creating links between different citizens (seniors, farmers, inhabitants)
  • Place of mutualizing tools and equipment of artisanal and digital manufacturing

And overall it will unify a wholesome rural community.
